Junior Clinic offerings

  • Red Ball (Ages 5 and up)

    Our Red Ball Clinics are designed for young beginners who are just starting their tennis journey. Using low-compression red balls that are larger and slower, these clinics allow players to develop basic skills such as hand-eye coordination, footwork, and simple stroke techniques. The emphasis is on fun, movement, and building a love for the game in a playful, supportive environment. Kids will enjoy games and activities that help them learn the fundamentals while building confidence on the court.

  • Orange Ball

    For players who have mastered the basics and are ready to take their skills to the next level, our Orange Ball Clinics offer more advanced instruction. Using a slightly smaller, lower-compression orange ball, this clinic focuses on developing consistency, rallying skills, and introducing basic tactical play. Players work on refining their forehands, backhands, and serves while learning how to move more effectively on the court. The goal is to improve technical skills and foster a deeper understanding of the game in a fun, dynamic setting.

  • Green Dot

    Green Ball Clinics are ideal for intermediate players looking to fine-tune their technique and expand their tennis abilities. Using a larger green ball with slightly more compression, these clinics allow players to develop a more advanced understanding of stroke mechanics, court positioning, and match play. Players work on increasing the power, precision, and consistency of their shots while learning strategy, such as how to construct points and improve their decision-making under pressure. This clinic helps bridge the gap between beginner and full-court play with focused, purposeful instruction.

  • Bobcat Gold

    Bobcat Gold is focused on competitive play. Working on developing consistency and effective patterns to ultimately help players how to play the game. The class emphasizes technical development in a competitive setting. The ability to maintain a basic rally is highly recommended. This is a great class for a player looking to try out for the high school team; continue to work on the basic understanding of stokes and movement required to play tennis.

  • Bobcat Elite

    These advanced clinics focus on refining stroke techniques, strategy, and mental toughness for players who are ready to compete in USTA matches or tournaments. This is also a great class for the average high school tennis player. With a focus on match play, point construction, and match strategies, players work on developing all aspects of their game—serving, returning, volleys, and groundstrokes—while also honing mental focus and conditioning for higher-level competition. This clinic is perfect for players aiming to compete seriously and elevate their tennis to the next level. Players will be screened and asked to join or participate.

  • Bobcat Tennis Academy High Performance

    This is an advanced class for players looking to continue to play tennis after high school. These players are currently playing in USTA Intermountain and/or National level tournaments. Players need to have a good understanding of all shots, tactics and take some responsibility for their own training outside of practice. This is the highest level of the Bobcat Tennis academy and players will be screened before being asked to enter and participate.
